April 2, 2020COOi Studios, in partnership with US Department of State and Growth Impact Co, is bridging the gap between startups and corporates through MOONSHOT. The main objective of MOONSHOT is to connect US and South African based startups and innovation ecosystems for strategic partnerships and shared networks through a series geared towards growing, scaling and piloting startups POCs whilst helping corporates solve tough business problems. These connections further explore exponential technologies and co-create solutions, delivering value at super speed for both parties.Â

Startups:
Ideally, seed or growth stage startups, looking to acquire enterprise customers. At minimum, startups should have a MVP, product-market fit and some market traction. Startups could be solving problems in one or more of these industries: healthcare, consumer/retail and public sector. We are targeting six (6) startups.
Enterprises: Three (3) enterprises, one from each of the following industries: healthcare, retail/consumer industries and public sector. Participating enterprises include: Life Healthcare, Tiger Brands and Centre for Public Sector Innovation.

Day 1
Startup Workshop
Moonshot team helps startups get enterprise ready, by covering an array of topics namely; finding product market fit, marketing for growth and product innovation.
Activities and Deliverables:
- Help get startups enterprise ready by developing a go-to-market strategy
- Identify gaps and opportunities in startup business model
- Create plans for growth

Day 2
Startup and Corporate Co-creation
During Day 2, corporate leaders will be paired with tech startups, using the startup product as base, to rapidly co-create a product or service that helps to solve corporate business problems.
Activities and Deliverables:
- Defining the problem and conducting an innovation diagnostic
- Ideation, coming up with as many ideas that can better serve customers and articulate the cost value for implementation
- Build the blueprint, visualise the customer experience and identify gaps and opportunities
- Develop and demonstrate the prototype for solving the problem
