COOi Studios a recently opened, open innovation lab, that provides design thinking, learning and experiences for large enterprises. We are an ecosystem enabler that provides a bridge between (artificial intelligence, internet of things, 3D printing, virtual reality and augmented reality) local and global start-ups to large enterprises. Within our studio we house all the leading emerging technologies and use them to educate business leaders all things 4IR. Lastly we exhibit our studio at conferences as a pop-up, giving your audience an ultimate innovation and technology experience.
Whilst exhibiting in Durban, our tech equipment got stolen. We have only been at this entrepreneurship terrain for 5 months, so we are still wet behind the ears, learning as we go along, so we understand that we made an expensive mistake. Please help us pay our entrepreneurship school fees, we promise we have learnt from our mistake, and it will not happen again.
COOi Studios has only been open since June 2019, and since opening Auto Zone, Old Mutual Insure, South African National Blood Services and Free State Department of Health have trusted us to conduct design thinking, learning or experiences offerings. We are fast growing, and this unfortunate incident has set us back by miles.
We plan to be the biggest Open Innovation Studio company in the world, by having a studio in multiple locations across the world. Whilst working with the most cutting edge start-ups and helping enterprises solve big problems in our design thinking lab.
We are future females, young women passionate about how emerging technologies can drive innovation in enterprises. Therefore we want to help organisations, be the best employer and supplier to their customers they can be, by being customer or employee centric.
Help us pay our entrepreneurship school fees, by donating towards our business, we need a total of 200 000 ZAR (approximately) to get us above board, but more would help us fly. We know that nothing is for free so any contribution over 500 ZAR qualifies for a reward. Once our studio tech has been replaced and we are full steam up and running again, we would be thrilled to host you for a master class, design thinking or combination of both sessions, as an individual within a small class or exclusively as a business team in the new year.

Q:What is the minimum and what is the maximum amount I can offer?
A: From $10 (approx. R 150) up to $3000. However rewards require a minimum of $35 (approx. R525)
Q: Can I make an anonymous offer?
A: You can choose to make an anonymous donation and not publish your name. The creator of the project however, for reasons of transparency, will be able to see the details of the donor.
Q: If I don’t want the reward, which is promised by the creator, can I not get it?
A: In life projects rewards are not required, as opposed to startup projects, whereby the creators are encouraged to promise rewards to their supporters. However, if you are entitled to a reward and you do not wish to get it you may. You may also choose for a reward that corresponds to a lower donation amount.
Q: Why should I support a company when I don’t even know the team personally?
A: If you don’t know the us personally or you have doubts, you do not have to offer your support. However, if you want any additional information and clarification, you can always ask us for the answers you need.
Q: Do I need a credit card or can I deposit in a bank or send a check?
A: Credit card payment is available and most convenient payment method, however we also have electronic fund transfer (EFT) and a cheque/check option.
Q: Will the money I offer be deducted from my tax statement?
A: No
Q: Can the money we use to donate, contribute towards our BEE score as a company.
A: Yes. COOi is a youth, female, black owned organisation scoring you major BEE points. Our BEE procurement level is Level One (135 % B-BBEE procurement recognition) Please note this is only applicable for reward level contributions from enterprises.
Q: Will I get a receipt?
A: You will receive electronic receipt of the deposited amount.
